Suzanne Hodge Pugh, NHA, ALA, CMP
President and Chief Executive Officer – Aldersgate Life Plan Services
Suzanne Hodge Pugh has been on staff at Aldersgate Life Plan Services, Inc. for 24 years. Ms. Pugh served as the Director of Marketing for over ten years and then received her Nursing Home Administrator’s license and her certification as an Assisted Living and was named the Chief Operating Officer. In 2011, Ms. Pugh became President and CEO and continues to serve in that role today. Ms. Pugh is a 2012 alumnus of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy and she also serves as Chair on the Board of Directors for LeadingAge North Carolina, as well as serving on the Board of the United Methodist Association. She enjoys spending time with family and loves to mountain bike, play disc golf, kayak and fish with her son, Wyatt.
Jeff Weatherhead, MHSA, NHA, ALA
Chief Operating Officer – Aldersgate Life Plan Services
Jeff Weatherhead has been the Chief Operating Officer since 2014. Within this position he oversees the daily operations of the community. Mr. Weatherhead has over twenty years’ experience in the senior living industry working in Ohio and Florida prior to moving to North Carolina. His career in senior living has been exclusively with not-for-profit and faith-based organizations. He is a licensed nursing home administrator as well as assisted living administrator in North Carolina. Mr. Weatherhead attained a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal and Public Communications from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Health Services Administration from Xavier University. Mr. Weatherhead is a 2016 alumnus of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, a 2018 graduate of the LeadingAge Leadership Educator Program and a member of the LeadingAge Annual Conference Education Committee. Jeff is also a member of the LeadingAge North Carolina Public Policy Committee.
Life Plan Director – Generations at Shalom Park
John Redmond comes to us from Aldersgate-Shamrock where he started as a Counselor in 2015 and recently served as Senior Life Plan Counselor. Prior to beginning his career in senior living, Mr. Redmond worked in the new home industry, served as a District and Area Manager in retail sales, and served as an officer in the United States Army. He is a 1978 graduate of Wake Forest University where he got his Bachelors degree in Education focusing on Educational Psychology. John is a grandfather, avid golfer and all around sports enthusiast.
Community Outreach Influencer – Generations at Shalom Park
Karen has been involved in Generations since its inception and served on the Shalom Park Senior Living Task Force which developed the concept. She is passionate about offering intergenerational senior living on the campus of Shalom Park. Karen and her husband, Barry, have been active volunteers in the Charlotte since 1996. She has served on multiple boards in the Jewish community and more broadly in Charlotte. Karen has twice served as President of Jewish Family Services and the Charlotte Jewish Preschool. Most recently, she served as the President of The Women of Temple Israel.
Karen has a BS in Chemistry, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
She enjoys personal fitness, baking, hiking, international travel with her family, and Masterpiece Theatre
Life Plan Counselor – Generations at Shalom Park
Eva Kantor is a Marketing Counselor for Generations. After receiving her master’s in Gerontology, she moved to the Charlotte area with her husband, Alex in 2016. Eva has been working in the senior living industry for the last five years and comes to Generations after managing one of Charlotte’s top Independent Living communities. Eva has dedicated her career to working with older adults to help support and guide them through the most joyous years of their lives. In addition to her role at Generations, Eva enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her puppy, Charlie.
Life Plan Coordinator – Generations at Shalom Park
Hannah is a recent 2020 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and comes to the team with 6 plus years of geriatric experience, caring for family and patients who are having memory issues. She is excited to join Generations and experience this journey with the team as a Life Plan Coordinator. Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, and their two daughters, Jaynia (11) and Sophia (4). In her free time, she enjoys crafting, watching Asian dramas, and shopping.
